Ommisa CLI

The command-line interface runs the same assistant at the terminal. The reply is the only text written to standard output; the progress indicator, the citations and the warnings ride standard error.

Installation

npm install -g @ommisa/cli
ommisa status

The package carries no runtime dependencies and runs on Node.js 18 and above. ommisa status reports the service, the signed-in account, and where the day’s quota stands.

Asking questions

ommisa ask "What is the MPE requirement for a load cell per OIML R 60?"
ommisa ask --lang fr "Qu'est-ce que l'EMT d'une cellule de charge ?"
ommisa ask "..." --attach nameplate.png
cat report.md | ommisa ask "Summarize this against R 60."
ommisa ask "..." --save
ommisa ask -c "..."

The tier, the remaining quota and the sign-in instruction print with every answer. The --fresh option bypasses the answer caches, the --save option stores the question and its answer as a conversation, the --conversation <id> option continues a stored conversation, and the -c option continues the most recent one. The --attach option places a PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF image of at most 4 MB on the question, and a photograph is examined only with the question it accompanies. Piped standard input becomes the question’s context.

A thread in the terminal

ommisa chat holds one conversation: every follow-up question rides the thread’s history, and the slash commands manage it — /new clears the thread, /attach FILE places an image on the next question, /lang LL switches the answer language, /save stores the thread to the account, and /exit leaves. Answers written in Markdown render for the terminal when standard output is a screen.

Composing with other tools

ommisa ask "..." --json # the full response document on stdout
ommisa ask "..." --stream-json # NDJSON events: stage, token, done
ommisa ask "..." -o answer.md # the markdown reply to a file
ommisa log [N] # the last questions from this machine's log

The --json option prints the machine-readable response, which carries the answer, its citations, the measured confidence, the entailment support and the quota. The exit code is a contract, in which 0 reports a delivered answer, 1 reports a failure, 2 reports a usage error, 4 reports a spent quota and 130 reports an interruption.

Memory files, conversations and projects

ommisa memories
ommisa memories add "Our lab" "We verify load cells to R 60."
ommisa conversations
ommisa conversations show <id>
ommisa files [project-id]

Selected memory files join each question as context. Conversations store threads across machines, and projects bind conversations and files into one context in this application.
